Mrs. Yvonne Gilliam Williams, age 100 years, passed away on March 14, 2020.  She was born on February 6, 1920 to loving parents Charlie Gilliam and Roxie Griffin GIliam, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She leaves to cherish loving memories to loving family members and all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020.  Viewing will start at 10 am followed by funeral service at 11 am.  Both services will be held at Fifth Ward Baptist Church, 4300 Noble St., Houston, Texas 77020.  Rev. Timothy Criswell, Pastor.

Interment will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 (1 pm gate time), at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038

Dear Family,

In light of concerns regarding the community spread of COVID-19,  Duncan Mortuary strongly urge that per some cemetery instructions, committal services may be subjected to adhere to CDC guidelines to avoid groups of no more than 15 people at the grave site.  Gathering will consist of family members at your discretion.  We request your assistance in communicating and adhering to this guideline  when requested by cemetery officials.
