Willie Lee Larry was the third child born of the union of Will & Gertrude Larry of Oakdale, Louisiana. As a young man, Willie left Oakdale and moved to Houston in search of better opportunity. Sometime thereafter he established W. L. Larry Construction company. In 1967 he met a beautiful young woman named Ollivette Marie Chevalier. They fell in love and were married on October 2, 1967. Seven children were born from their union: Yvonne, Tess, Ninna, Tammy, Willie Jr., Brian and Jason Larry. They attended St. Peter Claver church and were active members, supporting the church and community for many years. Willie was also a successful businessman. His company was involved in the construction of many highways and underground utilities across the city of Houston. He was father figure to many in the community, happily feeding anyone and everyone that visited his home.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ollivette, his sisters, Mattie Mae, Odessa, Dorothy and Mildred; brother, Foster and both parents.

He leaves to cherish his memories; four daughters, Yvonne (LeMarcus), Tess (Albert Sr.), Ninna (Dwight Jr.) and Tammy (Jamel); three sons, Willie Jr. (Shereka), Brian (Tray) and Jason Sr. (Sheryl). His grandchildren, Sherrie, Ashton, Alexandria, Jesse III, Taylor, Dwight III, Kenneth Jr., Amber, Chase, Dionne, Albert Jr., Skyla, Jason Jr., Caden, Rhyan, Willie III, Akira, Camron, Dylan, Christian, Julius. His great grandchildren, Hayden, Kaylor, Harley, Karter, SaMya and Heidi. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Visitation will start at 8am followed by funeral services at 9:30am. Family and friends will join in celebration at St. Peter Claver Catholic church at 6005 N. Wayside Dr. Houston TX 77028.

Willie will be laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Easter Freeway Houston TX 77039.
