Vernon Eric Lee's Obituary
Vernon Eric Lee was born September 29, 1960 to the parentage of Vernon Lee and Bobbie Jones Lee in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He graduated from Huntington High School in 1978 and graduated from Southern University in 1983. He was gainfully employed with the Internal Revenue Service for 24 years. He was affiliated with and a member of Phi Beta Sigma, a member of Southern University Band, and a Masonic member of the W. M. Hiram of Tyrian Grand Lodge. He also served on the Deacon Board and was a devoted and faithful Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
He leaves to cherish and rejoice in his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Sharon Kerr-Lee; son Justin Lee; daughters Briana (Marquintin) Wright, LaShandra Latin, LaTashia (George) Kiel, and Shavon Kerr; mother in-law Virginia James; grandsons Oren Kerr-Williams and Austin Kerr-Bowden; granddaughters Londyn Wright and Virginia Kiel; brothers Ronnie (Debra) Lee, and Rickey (Jackie) Lee, both of Shreveport, Louisiana; a host of in-laws, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Visitation will began at 10am followed by funeral service starting at 11am. Both services will be held at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 4609 Hirsch Rd., Houston, TX., 77028-Pastor Paul Cain, Sr. - Officiating.
Interment will take place in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery (Pearland, TX).
