1960 - 2023

Tonya Lynette Smith was born on April 14, 1960, to Jo Eddy Finley and Dale Allen Smith in Waxahachie TX. To this union, she was the 5th child of seven. Tonya accepted Christ at an early age and accepted her wings on March 29, 2023.
Tonya was loved by her family and her co-workers with whom she worked for many years with North Forest Independent School District until her health failed her.  She also helped care for her mother which she loved doing the most, because family and friends was everything to her. Tonya was known for that great big smile of hers and always ready to party.
Tonya was preceded in death by her father Dale A. Smith, brother Anthony Smith, and sister Carolyn Smith.
Tonya leaves to cherish her memories Jo Eddy her mother, sister Joan Smith, brother Michael Smith, brother Gregory Smith, and brother Aaron Finley (Frances J. Finley), sister in-law DeeDee Smith, 11 nieces and 11 nephews, and a host of Family and friends. To those who loved and knew her, that same love and memory will never grow old but shall continue to live on in our hearts forever.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  Viewing from 10 am to 10:55 am followed by funeral service at 11 am.  Services will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028.
Interment  - Private
