Sterling Robert Page was born June 27,1959 to the parents of Sterling Wheeler and Gloria Jean Page in Leesville, La. Sterling went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, at 12:29 pm in the year 2016 of our Lord and Savior. At the early age of 8, Sterling understood and accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as his personal savior under the pastoral leadership of Rev. C. S. Keys of the Ellen Burr Baptist Church of Leesville, La. The family later moved to Houston and immediately united with the New Mount Pleasant Miss. Baptist Church. Sterling received his education in the North Forest Independent School District of Houston, Texas. While in high school, he learned the welding trade. Eventually becoming a Master Welder and created his own business- Page Iron Works and Remolding. His professional work, both business and residential can be seen all over Houston.
In 1982, Sterling met the love of his life, Harriett Sherrard. To this union two children were born.
Sterling was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Wheeler, grandmother Rebecca Washington; sister Pearline Taylor and step-father J. B. Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife: Harriett; two children: Shavon Boudreaux (Joshua) and Sterling Robert Page, Jr. (Karina); five grand children and mother, Gloria Jean Taylor. He also leaves a host of other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wake Service, Friday, January 22, 2016 from 6-9 pm at Cornerstone Holiness Church, 953 Ellington St., Houston, TX 77088. Saturday viewing from 10-11 am; service will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Both services will be held at Together We Stand Church, 1432 Texas Parkway @ Scanlin, Missouri City, TX 77489. Interment will be Houston Memorial Garden Cemetery.
