Sarah Weston Perry
1957 - 2020

Sarah Ann Weston was born to William and Eva  Harris Weston on October 11, 1957.  She was born in Houston, Texas and was a life-long resident.  She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Forest Lawn Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  She later united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. James E. Lightfoot.

Sarah attended Houston Independent School District schools and graduated from Kashmere High School in 1976.  She later took business courses at San Jacinto Junior College, Hargest Vocational College, and North Harris County College.

On July 14, 1978, Sarah was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie L. Perry.  They were married for 18 years.  Sarah became the mother of two children. Even so, she maintained a consistent work history.  With a certificate in offset printing, she worked at Arrow Graphics.  She also worked at Harris County Community Clinics, Variable Annuity Life Insurance Co., Farmers Insurance Co., Baker Hughes (formerly BJ Services), and most recently Walmart.

Sarah had a sweet, quiet demeanor and was loved by many. She loved spending time with family and friends. She attended class reunions and enjoyed attending 2-step/swing-out dance classes.

On November 7, 2020, Sarah Perry returned to the loving arms of God. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: John Weston, Clyde Weston, William Weston, Jr., and Mildred Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Tamisha Alexander (Robert); son, Trone Perry; granddaughter, Callie Culbert; grandson, Cameron Alexander; brothers, JD Weston of Goldthwaite, TX., Bennie Bryant of CA, and Amos and Tommy Weston, both of Houston, TX; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In Remembrance of Sarah, a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 - 11:00 am, at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, TX., 77028.  Rev. Lester Shannon,  Officiating.
