Rudolph S Murray's Obituary
Mr. Rudolph S. Murray was born January 18, 1929 to Robert and Clister Murray in Carthage, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended school in Grand Kane, Louisiana. Later moving to Houston, he continued his faith by joining Lyons Unity Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. O. C. Johnson. He continued his fellowship under the leadership of Dr. William Anthony Jordan until his health began to fail him.
Rudolph met and married Allie Jene Lattin and to this union 4 children were born, Freddie, Rudolph, Regina, and Tony. He later met and married Frances Harrell and gained two daughters, Linda and Sandra.
Rudolph loved to play dominoes. He worked for Allied Fence Company until he retired.
Rudolph Murray was called to heaven on December 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by both parents, Robert and Clister Murray; both spouses Allie Jene and Frances Murray; 1 sister Ophelia; and 2 brothers Snapper and Eugene Murray.
He leaves to cherish his memories; 4 sons, Freddie, Rudolph, Tony, and Robert Tryon; 3 daughters, Regina Murray, Linda Glaspie (Lacey), and Sandra Cross; 2 sisters, Eddie Jewel and Ina Banks; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great grand children, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life for Rudolph Murray will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Visitation will start at 11am followed by funeral service at 12pm. Both services will be held at Lyons Unity Baptist Church, 3215 Lyons Ave., Houston, Texas 77020 - Dr. William Anthony Jordan, Pastor.
Interment will take place in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
