On July 26, 1933 Ruby Joyce Sanders was born to the late Eugene and Sally Sanders.  She was born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas where she attended and graduated high school.  At an early age she dedicated her life to Christ and remained faithful until her passing.

Ruby met and married O.D. Linsey or "Honey" as she called him.  They later moved to Houston, Texas.  She was employed at Baylor College of Medicine as a lab technician for approximately 20 years.

Ruby was a God fearing rock of her household as, giver, provider, protector, and comforter always there to help out.  She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by  her late husband, O.D. "Honey" Linsey; sisters Vera Hargrove, and Luella Thomas; brothers Howard Sanders, James E. Sanders, and Leodis Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son Robert Dell Linsey (Tammy); grandchildren Raye Ayn Linsey, Crystal Flanagan, and Charlie Linsey; brothers James W. Sanders of New Caney, TX., and Oscar Lee Sanders of Nacogdoches, TX.;  a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Celebration for Ruby Joyce Linsey will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020.  Viewing will start at 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Johnson Chapel CME CHurch, 4306 Leffingwell St., Houston, Texas 77026.  Pastor Bobby Broady, Eulogist.
