Ruby Faye Perry, a beloved soul who graced this earthly realm with her presence, has peacefully departed from us on December 12, 2023, at the age of 69 in Houston, Texas. Born on August 10, 1954, to Adam and Corine Lagway in Willis, Texas, Montgomery County, Ruby Faye, whose maiden name was Lagway, exemplified a life rooted in humility, gratitude, and a deep respect for all of creation.

From her earliest days, Ruby Faye's heart was filled with an extraordinary love for all mankind. She walked this world with open arms, never considering anyone a stranger, regardless of their background or circumstance. Her soul's mission was to bear witness to the Lord's boundless love and to guide others towards an intimate relationship with him. The joy she found in sharing her testimonies about the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord was a testament to her profound wisdom and her unwavering commitment as a powerful prayer warrior.

Throughout her journey, Ruby Faye was blessed with the love and companionship of her devoted husband, Mr. Charles Edward "Coach" Perry Sr., for 53 remarkable years. Together, they built a foundation of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Ruby Faye's legacy extends to her cherished children: Cindy (Eric), Charles Jr. (Jacqueline), Charlotte (Nathan), Trenise, Chazzie and Tenisha (Jamarcus). Her love and teachings will forever resonate within the hearts of her grandchildren: Henry, Miracle , Melissa , Dartagnan Jr., Shamon, Charles III, Cheyla, Chase, Cha'Mia , Cha'Kyra, Nathan Jr., Na'Tasha , Charity , Na'Javius, Terryion, Tramecia , Travontae , Cherrish, E'Jaylis , Erik Jr, Eriane , Joseph , Isiah , and London. Furthermore, her great-grandchildren, Damari, Da'Charryon , Shamon Jr., Sha'Monie , Armonii, Talani , Tylan , Tyelor , Tayelor , Jacob and Ky'Lan will forever carry the light and the love that Ruby Faye bestowed upon them. Ruby Faye also leaves behind her two beloved sisters, Mother Mae Dell Hector and Sis, Jossie Freeman, as well as her blessed uncle Charlie Lagway. She held a special place in her heart for her numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends whom she loved unconditionally. Very special connections with Eric, Jackie, Nathan, Jamarcus. Proceeded in death by 8 sisters and 4 brothers.

Ruby Faye's education journey led her to Turner High School in Willis TX. Following her studies, she embarked on a noble career as a homemaker embodying the essence of selflessness and compassion by providing comfort and care to those in need.

Central to Ruby Faye's life was her unwavering faith and devotion to the Lord. From an early age, she accepted Christ into her heart, and her life became a testament to his boundless grace. Ruby Faye found solace and inspiration within the walls of Praise and Glory Worship Center in Huntsville, Texas, where she nurtured her spiritual connection and shared her faith with fellow believers.

As we gather to honor Ruby Faye Lagway Perry's remarkable journey, we shall come together in reverence at Family Faith Church, located at 202 South Thomason Street, Willis, Texas 77378. Within the embrace of this sacred space, we shall celebrate her life, her unwavering faith, and the profound impact she had on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

During this time of profound loss, the compassionate professionals at Duncan Mortuary Inc., owned by Jerry and Nancy Allen, are providing solace and support to the Perry family.
