Ruby Lee Blake's Obituary
On June 4, 1928, a beautiful girl was born to the parentage of Rollin Lorenzo McGriff and Ethel L. Evans McGriff in Anderson County, Texas. She departed this life August 24, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.
Ruby Lee was preceded in death by her parents Rollin and Ethel Evans McGriff; 2 children Gwendolyn Dianne Houston and Rollin Lorenzo Blake; 2 brothers Alvo McGriff and L.B. McGriff; and 2 grandchildren Jerry Prophet and Sandra Houston.
She leaves to cherish with loving memories: 1 son Efford Asberry, Jr., (Dallas, TX); daughter Ethel Louise Holmes Fitzpatrick (Houston, TX); 2 sisters, Virginia Coleman (Philadelphia, PA) and Fannie Mae Reed (Houston, TX); 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:55am followed by Funeral service at 11am. Both services will be held at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 6902 Eastland St., Houston, TX., 77028 - Rev. T. W. Brown, Pastor and Eulogist.
Final Resting Place will be in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery (Pearland, Texas).
