Robbie Evetta Nzerue

1951-2023

Robbie Evetta was granted her angel wings on May 13, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1951, to the late Goree Spiller and Robbie Lee White–Spiller in Houston, Texas. Robbie Evetta Spiller was married in holy matrimony to Cyril Ike Nzerue on September 14, 1985. No children were conceived during the marriage. She excepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Rev. F.W. McIlveen at Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church. Her church affiliation was with Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church until her death.

She completed her education at Kashmere Senior High School, Prairie View A&M University, and Kaplan College.

She was a dedicated and caring worker in the healthcare services as a Phlebotomist and Medical Aide.

She spent her final days surrounded by family in Fort Worth, Texas. Robbie is survived by her sisters, Johnnie Mae Spiller – Allen of Willis, Texas, Sundra Dee Spiller-Hayes (Julius Hayes), and her brother Earl Kenneth Spiller (Faye Spiller) of Houston, Texas, brother-in-law Carl Bennett of Houston, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Those who have preceded her in death are her father and mother, Goree Spiller and Robbie Lee White-Spiller; 1 sister Bernetta Spiller – Bennett (Carl Bennett); 1 niece Tonya Renee Terry, and 1 brother-in-law, Cooper Ray Allen

A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Fifthward Baptist Church, 4300 Noble St., Houston, Texas 77020.

A viewing will start at 9 am followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am.
