Parl Lee Dunham's Obituary
Parl Lee Dunham "Pony" was born on November 11, 1930, to the late Eliza Jane and Fleam Wyatt Sr. in Goodrich, Texas.
Parl received her education in Goodrich I.S.D. She accepted Christ at an early age. After moving to Houston, she joined Pleasant Grove
Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church. Parl worked for Houston Community College, Windsor Mill, and
Burlington Health Care. She loved taking care of others. She also loved to fish, tend to her garden, travel, and host family events and gatherings.
She loved to cook delicious food, bake her famous sweet potato pie, and loved to eat seafood. Parl is preceded in death by her son Jerry Brewer, her grandson, Anthony Brewer, five brothers, Ira Wyatt Sr, Monroe Wyatt, James Wyatt, Jimmy Wyatt, and Flym Wyatt Jr., sister Lubertha Rainey, great-granddaughter Shayla Dunham, and cousin Luella Johnson. Parl was loved by many family and friends. She leaves to cherish her life and memories; four sons, Richard Dunham, Larry Dunham, Dr. Timithy Dunham (Margaretha), Lee Dunham Jr, and one daughter, Shirley Dunham; two sisters, Jimmie Lee Tatum and Nancy Jackson; three sisters-in-law; Mary Wyatt, Oretha Wyatt, and Nelda Wyatt; Aunt Gloria Jones and a Godson Edwin Cornett. She also leaves 26 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, with viewing starting at 9 am following the 10 am funeral. Both services will be held at Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church located on 7818 Bonaire St. Houston, Texas 77028
Interment: Victory Place Beautiful Cemetery; Swartout Community- Livingston, Texas
