Oscar Charles Sr.'s Obituary
Oscar Roberson Sr. was born in Winfield, Louisiana to The Late Rev. A. G. and Edith Roberson on November 7, 1938. He graduated from B. C. Elmore High School in Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Military and served in the Marines Corp. He was a member of the Little Union Missionary Baptist Church under the Late Rev. A. G. Roberson. He worked as a truck driver for many years for various companies, and later retiring from ABF Trucking.
Oscar is preceded in death by his father Rev. A. G. Roberson, his mother Edith Roberson, and brother Otis Roberson.
Oscar is survived by his wife Jeanie Roberson; sister Semmie Gibbs (William); aunt Oscarene Braden (Frank); 1st wife Ollie Roberson; children Kyria Askew, Valerie Lenton, Sherry Baxter-Barnes (Asberry), Oscar Roberson Jr., Sherlene Murry, Ocie Ringer, and Katril Roberson; step-children, Leantranell Gipson, Albert Crouts, Elizabeth Crouts, Patricia Crouts, Helen Crouts, and Frederick Crouts. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host or nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018. Visitation starting at 9am followed by funeral service at 11am. Both services will be held at Little Union Missionary Baptist Church, 6609 Letcher Dr., Houston, Texas 77028 - Pastor Henry Fields officiating.
