Deacon Oscar Louis "Sonny" Jelks passed away on December 14,2018 in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 22,2018, beginning with a visitation from 9-11 am followed by 11 am Funeral. Both services will be held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 9318 Homestead Rd. Houston, Texas 77016. Pastor Edward V. Lightfoot officiant.

Interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery Monday December 24, 2018 with a Gate time of 11:15 am.
