1943-2023

Minnie Louise Murray was born July 31, 1943, in Houston Texas to Buelah Beatrice Murray and Marvin Lee Murray, Sr. She was baptized at an early age at the Church of The Living God in Houston. Her service to God continued when she joined and became an usher at Sheeler Memorial C.M.E Church. Minnie spent her life in the service to others. She was a wonderful mother to the late Walter Lee Holt Jr., and a devoted and loving caregiver to many others. After becoming a certified nursing assistant, she found solace in making sure her patients were loved and nurtured. Minnie never met a stranger; she always went out of her way to make sure everyone in her presence felt special.

Minnie Leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved sisters: Jean Patterson, Earline Davis Green, and Enora Jones. Her brother-in-law, Nathaniel Jones, and her sister-in-law, Pearl Murray. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Minnie is preceded in death by her loving son, Walter Lee Holt Jr., her parents, Buelah Murray and Marvin Lee Murray Sr., her sisters, Marva Mae Mitchell and Buelah Wright and her brothers Lee Murray Jr. and Jerry Lee Murray.

Minnie closed her eyes and woke up in the arms of God on September 22, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving sisters and sister-in-law.

Service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023. With a viewing starting at 1:00 p.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral. Both services will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chaplel Located at 5806 N. Wayside Dr, Houston, Texas 77028
