Mckinley Fitzpatrick Jr.'s Obituary
McKinley Fitzpatrick Jr. was born on June 29, 1946 to McKinley Fitzpatrick Sr., and Edna McCray Fitzpatrick.
He was the third sibling of four children.
McKinley attended public school in Harris County, He graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1964 and attended Texas Southern University. He enlisted in the Navy and served his country as a Merchant Marine. Later he retired from the City of Houston. He supported the Progressive Civic Club.
McKinley departed this life on December 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley Sr., and Edna Fitzpatrick, a sister Ula Olivia Fitzpatrick, and brother Johnny Nelson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ethel Louise Holmes Fitzpatrick; 2 daughters, Monica McGowen (James) of Houston, TX., and DeVonna Fitzpatrick of Houston, Texas; 2 sons, McKinley Fitzpatrick III (Cormellia) of San Diego, CA and McKinley Fitzpatrick Hardy; a brother Odell Fitzpatrick. He also leaves 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, cousins, and friends.
Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Visitation will start at 9am followed by funeral service starting at 10am. Visitation and funeral will be held at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 6902 Eastland St., Houston, Texas 77028 - Pastor T. W. Brown officiating.
Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038 -
1:30pm.
