Mathies  Columbus Wilson, Jr was born to the late Fannie Mae Parrott and Mathies C. Wilson, Sr. in Mansfield, Louisiana.  Mathies later moved to Houston where he graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School.  He later joined the United States Navy.  Mathies retired from the City of Houston and enjoyed the rest of his days with his family.  He entered into rest on May 26, 2018 with his loving family at his side.  He certainly will be missed.  Matheis Wilson will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Duncan Mortuary Chapel 5806 N Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028 at 11 am.  A Viewing will be held from 10 - 11.  Officiating will be Mathies Wilson III and Interment is Houston National Cemetery.
