Mrs. Mae Lee Johnson-Walker passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born to Dan and Evelener Chatman on June 4, 1928, along with her twin brother Ray Chatman. She was born in Bermuda, LA, affectionately called "Little River" in Natchitoches Parish. She and Ray were the third of six other siblings: Evelener, Catherine Wilson, Rosa Lee Baldwin, McKinley Chatman, Raymond Chatman, and stepbrother, Elijah Johnson all of which preceded her in death.

She loved her family. In fact, she has a wall of memories and achievements in her home ready to show off to anyone who stopped by. Before her health declined, she regularly attended her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's high school and college graduations proudly. She enjoyed making scarves, jewelry, and quilting. She also loved to bake a variety of cakes and pies, especially Apple Cakes and Sweet Potato Pies. Mae Lee leaves to cherish many loved ones including: Son, DeMelvin R. Johnson (Glenda) of Natchitoches, LA and Daughter, Rose Bernice Johnson (Ronald Sr.) of Inglewood, CA. Five Grandchildren: Everette Washington (Shereen) of Janesville, WI, Gwendolyn Muwwakkil (Reginald) of Palmetto, GA, Ronald Jr., (Kim) of Janesville, WI, Renika Oliphant (Gregory) of Rowlett, TX and De'tria of Natchitoches, LA. Twelve Great-Grandchildren, Raven, Nycolas, Chelsea, Gregory II, Reginald II, Krista, Danielle, Jessica, Everette Marco (Lauren), Amber (Brandon), Summer (Caleb), and Jalisa. Three Great Great-Grandchildren: Autumn, Bryson, and Dominique. She lovingly referred to her two favorite nephews Leroy Burton and Timothy White as her other children. Considered as a daughter, Janice Joubert took extra special care of her, checking in to ensure her needs were met and notifying the family of any concerns. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends.

Services For Mrs. Walker will be held on Saturday September 12, 2020 at North Houston C.O. Christ which is located on 8203 Jensen Dr. Houston, Tx. Viewing will start at 10:00am with Funeral will start at 11:00 am
