Luther Florence
1951 - 2024

Luther Florence, affectionately known as " Dab ", was born in Athens, Texas on September 15, 1951, to loving parents Luther Bowman Florence and Henrietta Florence.  He graduated for John Tyler High School, where is obtained a football scholarship to Stephen F. Austin University, and later transferred to Navarro College.

On January 14, 2024, Luther Florence departed this life, that was extended for more than 15 years through a heart transplant.

Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 - 1:30 pm, at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028, Pastor James Adams, Officiating.
