Lenora G. Eason's Obituary
On February 20, 1937, Earlie and Corine Collins were blessed with the birth of a precious baby girl, Lenora. Baby Lee, as she was affectionately known, was the sixth of twelve children. She grew up and attended school in Bryan, Texas. Lenora accepted Christ at an early age, and she continued on strong in her love and faith in Christ until He called her home on March 21, 2018. She joined Miracle Revival Center, where she was the Mother of the Church.
Once she moved to Houston in 1951, she met the love of her life in a young man named Charlie Givens, Jr. The two married on September 28, 1964, in which seven children were born to this union. They happily lived their lives until Charlie was called home to be with the Lord. She worked faithfully for Houston Independent School District as a bus driver for 20 years. While working there, she met and fell in love with Lafayette Eason and married on December 9, 1974. They were faithfully in love until he too went home to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlie and Corine, nine brothers LC, James, Aaron, Earlie Jr., Ester, Thomas Jr., Claven, Willie, and Lelden, one sister Lorraine.
Leaving to cherish her memory; 8 children, Charlie Demming (Earnest), Georgia Collins, Douglas Collins, Carrol Onezime, Claven Givens, Earl Givens, Donald Givens, and Hilda Clemons; 1 brother Curtis Goosby (Carolyn); son-in-law Samuel Toliver; 9 grandchildren, Christopher (Nakesia), Terrance, Shoneteal, Lakeydra, Jillian, Chastity, Jasmine, Desire, and Renita; 17 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Visitation will start at 10 am followed by 11 am funeral service in the chapel of Duncan Mortuary Inc., 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028 -
Minister Christopher Demming, Eulogist, and Minister Michael Johnson, Officiating.
Burial will be Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1pm in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX. 77038
