On February 9th, 1951, a beautiful baby girl was born to the loving parents, Stanley W. & Marjorie Turney, whom they named Lana Deborah Turney. Lana grew up in the Sunny Side Edition of Houston, Texas where she attended school in the Houston Independent School District. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and continued through out her life.
Lana is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley W. and Marjorie Turney; brother Gregory Wayne Turney.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving step-mother: Flora Turney, sisters: Harolyn Turney Joseph, Deborah Williams, Sabrina Hopkins and Priscilla Boyd; brothers: Damien Williams, and Plas Williams, Jr. One loving aunt, Auntie Turney. A host of other relatives and friends.
Lana will be laid to rest Friday, February 10, 2017. Viewing will be 10 - 11 am, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Both services will be held at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, 3826 Wheeler Avenue, Houston, Texas 77004. Interment will be Paradise South Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. P Williams.
