LaMerril Sims was born January 11, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas  to proud parents, Hermon  and Geraldine Lusk Sims.  LaMerril accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dennis C. Jones.

His life journey ended on September 22, 2019 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.

LaMerril leaves behind to cherish his loving memory a loving wife, Inez Matthew-Sims;  daughter Kelli Sims; son Cory Sims Sr; grandson Cory Sims Jr; 1 brother, Shawn Sims; 3 sisters Linda Dotson, LaTonya Brady, and Constance Withers; along with many other close relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019.  Viewing will be held from 10 to 10:55 am - Funeral service will start at 11 am.  Both services will be held at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 8775 Flagship St., Houston, Texas 77029 - Pastor Dennis C. Jones, officiating.

Interment will take place at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery - Pearland, Texas.
