Blueford
1965 - 2020

Kevin Mandell Blueford, Sr., was born on May 22, 1965 in Houston, Texas.  He was born to loving parents, Johnny Blueford and Victoria Huston.  He was affectionately known to family and friends as "Blue Dawg".  Kevin received his formal education from the Houston Independent School District.

He confessed his life to Christ under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Craft of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

On February 14, 1966, Kevin united in Holy Matrimony with Felicia Simmons.  Kevin was the father of six children.  In his leisure time, he acquired a passion for caring for the sick and elderly.  He also enjoyed sports, cooking, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.  You could always find him in search of a good time.  He was very outgoing and had a very loving spirit.  He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Kevin Mandell Blueford, Sr., departed this earthly life on November 26, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  LG and Elease Thompson, and Claudis and Rosie  Blueford.

Kevin leaves loving memories with parents, Johnny Blueford (Dorothy), and Victoria Ryans (Raymond);  six children, Angelica (Tony), Latoya (David), Kevin Jr., Victor, Delecia (Charles), and Nona; ten grandchildren; three siblings, Penny Nash (Tyrone), Zachary Blueford (Kim), and Myeisha Williams (Phillip); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his special friend, Sherry Perone.

Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020.  Viewing will start at 10 am followed by funeral service at 11 am, at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028.  Pastor Timothy Craft, Officiant and Eulogist.
