John Davis Rachal's Obituary
John Davis Rachal was born on October 3, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Joseph and Hazel Wiley Rachal. He was the 5th of 7 kids. John graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School where he played basketball.
Shortly after graduating high school he started working at Cameron Irons and continued with the company at Wyman Gordon where he was employed for 47 years.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his children, that involved shopping, cooking, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters Barbara Williams and Sandra Harvey; brother Sammy Daniels; step-father Winston Daniels who raised him from the age of 3 years old.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his beautiful wife of 20 years, Tammie Adams Rachal; 3 sons, Detrick Rachal, Donte Rachal, and John Rachal II; 3 daughters, Ta'Brielle and K'Brielle Lewis and Jada Rachal, all of Houston, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Detrick II, Jai, and Kree; brother Joseph Rachal, and sisters Francis Cavanaugh, and Brenda Patillo; a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 30, 2016. Visitation starting at 10am followed by 11am funeral service. Both services will be held at Christian Tabernacle Church, 13334 Wallisville Rd., Houston, Texas 77029 - Pastor Richard Heard.
