John Lee Daniels, age 77, was born to Gladys Frazier Williams.  He would affectionately be known as Bubba, Big Dog, Dan, Sarge, Daddy, Pawpaw, or Rev. by those who loved him.  Most of his formal education took place in Jacksonville, Florida where he played and developed his passion for football.

Soon after graduation, he would enlist in the U. S. Army and serve his country proudly as a Sargeant during the Vietman War era.

John passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2020.  He is preceded in death by his mother Gladys Williams, brother Harry "Lil Dog', sister Coretha, sons John Jr., and Jeffery, and daughter Karin.

He leaves a lifetime of memories to his wife, Mary Daniels, sons Maurice and R.J., daughters Laura, Jennifer and Gladys, brothers Leon, Willie James, Earl and Sister Annette, a treasured tribe of grandchildren, and a growing adored circle of great grands as well.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws, other relatives, church family, neighbors, and many friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020.  Viewing starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Services will be held at Harvest Time Church of God In Christ, 7515 W. Montgomery Rd., Houston, Texas 77091 - Rev. Clifton Turner, Pastor.

Interment at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.  Gate time 12:45 p.m.
