John T. Braxton, Jr.
1948 - 2020

John T. Braxton, Jr. was the third child born to John T. Braxton, Sr. and Roxie Lee Stewart Braxton on May 31, 1948.  He grew up in the Moss Bluff Addition of Liberty, Texas.

John departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ina Lee Rhodes; and brother, Willie Stewart.  His memory will be cherished by his sons; Robert D. Johnson (Michelle), Derrick Johnson (Shameaka), daughters: Arlana Walters (Sean), Erana Watkins (Randy), LaShawn Charles (Nathan),  all of Houston, Texas;  sisters:  Ada Jones, Mary Fisher (Silas), Lowretta Semien (Gerald), and Precilla Smith (Danny), of Houston, Texas, and Thelma Braxton of Baytown, Texas;  brothers:  Joe L. Braxton (Ellal) of Liberty, Texas, and Albert Braxton (Jean) of Houston, Texas; One sister in-law Florence Stewart of Tampa Florida. 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 31, 2020.  Viewing starting at 10 am followed by funeral service at 11 am.  Services will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, TX 77028.  Pastor Tiffany Chandler, Officiating.

Interment at Cemetery Beautiful (Houston, Texas).
