On October 24, 1954, Joe Allen Williams entered this world, born to parents, Thelmarie Fields Williams and J C Young. He professed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. A son of Settegast, Joe was educated in the North Forest Independent School District. He was a standout athlete at BC Elmore and later became a member of the first graduating class of Forest Brook High School in 1972. Joe matriculated at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas before returning to Houston to begin his career.

Joe could be found at one of three places; his place of employment, the gym or providing musical entertainment as a DJ for special occasions of friends and family. His love for music and hard work equaled his love for his family. Always the athlete, Joe loved sports. He faithfully supported Northshore Sr. High athletics, well after his son graduated, often attending sports events through the years until his health begin to fail. If he was not in attendance at a Houston Rockets, Texans or Astros game, he faithfully watched from the comfort of his home. Professionally, Joe had many professions including retail and restaurant management, however he retired from Shell Oil after 30+ years of service as a process control operator. It was during his retail career that he met, fell in love with and married Barbara Ann Scott in 1987. This union would blend several families, produce one Son and continue until the day God called him home. On September 10, 2020 at 4:48 am, the world grew slightly dimmer, as Joe transitioned home to the Lord.

Joe was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Andrew Bell, Sr. and Sister Rae Evelyn Bell McBride. Loved ones left to cherish Joe's memory include his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Williams, 6 children Joseph (Karolyn) Williams, Yolanda Kaough, Diana (Jerry) Benjamin, John (Siobhan) Cuyler, Krystal (Kenny) Taylor, and DeWayne (Doris) Williams; eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandson, Sister Florence Hunt, Brother Wendell Williams, a host of nieces and nephew, family and friends.

Wake Service for Mr. William will be held on Friday September 18,2020 at Duncan Mortuary Chapel which is located on 5806 N. Wayside Dr Houston, Texas 77028. from 6-8pm

Funeral Services for Mr. William will be held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at Blessed Hope Baptist Church located on 3741 Colvin St. Houston, Texas 77013 .
