Mrs. Joan Dorsey Plumber was born to Beatrice Geames Dorsey and John Henry Dorsey on November 4, 1958.

On August 7, 1990, Joan married the love of her life John Preston Plumber, Jr. On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, Joan departed this earthly life for eternal rest and everlasting life.

Joan was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Dorsey; her mother Beatrice Geames Dorsey; her stepson Christopher Plumber; her sister, Kaye Montez Geames; and her brother, Carl Ray Dorsey.

Her memories live on and will be cherished by her husband John; two (2) stepchildren: Derrick Wayne Plumber and Jeffrey Ray Plumber; five (5) sisters: Johnnie Dorsey Moses, Bastrop, LA; Selitha Dorsey Birdon (Charles), Beatrice Faye Geames of Houston, Texas; Willie Marie Dorsey, Monroe, LA; Irene Genes, Richmond, California and five (5) brothers: Harold Lee Dorsey, Earnest Lee Dorsey, Sebastian Will Dorsey (Latricia), and Dale Geames of Houston, Texas and Bob Earl Dorsey, Delhi, LA, four (4) granddaughters: Shelonda, Sheronda, Sheila, and Quinesha and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and many friends.

Services for Mrs. Plumber will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chapel which is located on 5806 N. Wayside Houston Texas, 77028

Service will start promptly at 1:00pm
