Mrs. Jimmie Lee Hicks, age 73, passed away on February 17, 2020.  She was born on January 18, 1947 to loving parents Jimmie Lee Qualls and Irene Jones Qualls, in Houston, Texas. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and remained faithful until her illness.  She was educated at B. C. Elmore High School where she graduated and received her diploma in 1966.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents, and her eldest son Michael Jay Qualls, her grandson Reginald Hicks Jr., and brother Albert Qualls.

She leaves to cherish precious memories to her 3 sons, Clark Hicks Jr. (Cynthia), Reginald Hicks Sr. (Michelle), LaPete Hicks Sr. (Brenda); 2 sisters, Delois Pruitt, and Marcia Kennedy (Kenneth); 1 brother Charles Qualls Sr. (Mary); 8 grandchildren, Anthony Hicks (Ronnada), Anthony Gomez (Brittany), Michael Hicks (Kelsey), Jordan Hicks, Keith Hicks, Caitlin Hicks, Ananda Hicks, and LaPete Hicks Jr.; 4 great grandchildren, Niayah Hicks, Nerriah Gomez, Anthony Gomez Jr., and Jayden Hicks McBeth; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020.  Viewing starting at 10:00 am, followed by 11 am funeral service, at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028.  Rev. Simpson Douglas, Eulogist.

Interment at Paradise North Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
