Jerry Dorsey Johnson was born August 21, 1951 in Natchez, Louisiana to loving parents Dorsey Johnson and Elmira Jones Johnson.  Mr. Johnson was called  home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 1, 2020.

He leaves behind to cherish loving memories of him: a daughter Sonia Gilder; son Lerrick Johnson; mother Elmira Jones Johnson; 3 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 1 great grandson; 3 sisters: Genana Holly, Doris Jean Johnson, and Mary Ann Johnson; and many other close relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday,  May 9, 2020 - 12 noon, at Golden Gate Cemetery (Houston, Texas).

Dear Family,

In light of concerns regarding the community spread of COVID-19,  Duncan Mortuary strongly urge that per some church and cemetery instructions, services and burials are being subjected to adhere to CDC guidelines to avoid groups of no more than 10 people at church and the grave site.  Gatherings will consist of family members at your discretion.  We request your assistance in communicating and adhering to this guideline  when requested by church and cemetery officials.
