James Edward Young Jr., was born on November 8, 1955 to the parentage of James Edward Young Sr., and Earsie Snead Young in

Altheimer, Arkansas.  After moving to Houston, Texas he attended and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School.  He united with

Greater True Vine Baptist Church under Rev. Matthew R. Alix and served under the leadership of Rev. Darryl Broussard until his

untimely death.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers Robert Young, Charlie Young, and Lee Young, and one sister Brenda

Young.

He leaves to mourn his passing, step-father Nathaniel Johnson; 2 brothers Willie C. Young and Carl Young and 1 sister Sandra Young, all of

Houston, Texas; aunt Alean Dorn of Houston, Texas and many devoted nieces, nephews, brother in-law and sister in-law, uncles, aunts and

a host of other close relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019.  Viewing starting at 12 noon followed by 1 pm funeral service at Greater Pure Light

Church, 12330 Vickery Dr., Houston, TX. 77029 - Pastor Darryl Broussard.

Interment will take place at Golden Gate Cemetery.
