James Alvin Holloway was born on April 4, 1954 to Betty and Roosevelt Webb of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was baptized at King Emmanuel Baptist Church. James was educated at Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans. James was a Long Shore man with the Port of New Orleans for over ten years. He was later employed in the hospitality industry.

On March 12, 2016, James departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father Roosevelt Webb and sister Valerie Holloway Cummings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter: Tamika Jordan; mother: Betty Holloway- Webb (Harold); sisters: Phyllis (Melvin), Evelyn and Catrenia (Brian); brother: Roosevelt (Bernetta). A host of other friends and family.

Viewing will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 9 - 10 am. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 10:00 am. Both services will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028. Interment will be private.
