James Earl Cheatham Jr. entered the world with twin Jamaine Earl Cheatham brother on April 23, 1980, at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, TX.

He was greeted by awaiting parents James Earl Cheatham Sr. (proceeded him in death) and Esther Ruth Cheatham. James attended J.C. Mcdade Elementary, Key Middle School, and Barbara Jordan High School for Careers. He accepted Christ at an early age, joining the congregation of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership Of Bishop Kenneth Bernard Spears.

Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he became an exemplary soldier with several tours overseas and was highly decorated. James served various positions, including instructor of helicopter repair.

He devoted twenty tireless years to the protection and defense of his country. During this time James married Conchella Shivers Cheatham and from that previous union two beautiful daughters were born, Keiona Johnell and Teairra Jane Cheatham.

James began his Masonic travels in 2013 and was initiated, passed, and raised to the Degree of Master Mason in Humphrey Pride Lodge #344 in Dothan, Alabama. During his time there he served as Sr. Stewart and Junior Warden. He demitted his membership and joined the Saturn Lodge #88. In 2014 James continued his Masonic journey by petitioning and being accepted, Holy Arch Chapter Enterprise #94, Wire Grass Council #14, and Wire Grass Commandry #48. He held the position of Treasurer for each of those entities during his tenure. After retiring from the armed forces James found his passion in becoming a JROTC instructor to over 150 students at Sharpstown High School.

James leaves to mourn, his daughters Keiona and Teairra Cheatham. Also mother Esther Cheatham, brother Jamaine Cheatham ( Lakisha Cheatham). His sisters Lavisha Smith, Shantia Cheatham- Kinnell(Jesse Kinnell). Fiancé Hillary Robinson, two daughters in love Ania and Zoie Green. He leaves to cherish his love: four nieces, two nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, the Sons of Solomon MC.
