Inez Waller Thomas' Obituary
The lovely Inez Walker Thomas (Pee Wee) was born in Stephens, Arkansas on August 29, 1929 to Sneed Waller and Lola Mae Todd. She had two siblings, Ted White and Christine Dickey of Kansas City, Missouri.
As a young girl, Mother Thomas learned to cook, clean, and became an excellent seamstress. In June of 1946 she married the handsome McLyn Thomas. To this union 13 children were born: first set of twins Frederick and Freddie, Baby Boy Thomas, Carrie, Charles, George, Lillie, Reginald, Nelma, Charlene, Daryl, and the last set of twins, Michelle and Michael. They raised the first bunch of children in Texarkana, Texas and later migrated to Houston, where the rest of the Thomas clan was born.
Mother Thomas was a woman of prayer, especially for her family. She was the church secretary and over the usher board at Fellowship Church. She was part of Mothers of Israel at Apostolic Tabernacle. She was a church mother at Apostolic Assembly of Love, the last church where she was a member before she physically slowed down.
In spite of her physical battles, she lived a long life for which we are grateful. She recently was hospitalized a few times since the summer and diagnosed with a terminal illness, but now she has received her Ultimate Healing!
After several days on hospice care at home, Friday, December 2, 2016, Mother Inez Thomas was whisked away by angels into the heavenly courts, into the pure Presence of the Almighty God and introduced to her heavenly mansion as promised.
She was preceded in death by her husband, McLyn in 2010; young children, Frederick and Freddie; Baby Boy Thomas; Charlene; her oldest son Charles; her mother Lola Mae and father Sneed; grandchildren Reo and LaTosha; and 3 siblings.
Left to hold precious memories are her remaining children; Carrie, George, Lillie, Nelma (Freddie), Reginald Sr. (Alfonette), Daryl (Peaches); Michelle (Clifton Sr.), and Michael (Jaquilla). Her lineage continues through a massive number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A number that cannot be numbered! Her warm smiles, chuckles, loving touches, will be greatly missed by us all, kinfolks and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016. Viewing starting at 10am followed by funeral service at 11am. Services at Apostolic Tabernacle, 5547 Cavalcade St., Houston, Texas 77026 - Dr. Lester Roch.
Burial will take place in Golden Gate Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
