Hazor Charles Haynes, born on January 31, 1955, in Jewett, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2026. Raised in Jewett, he attended Carver High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed the character that would define his life. Answering the call to serve his country, Hazor proudly enlisted in the United States Army on August 23, 1974, serving faithfully until his honorable discharge on March 16, 1977. He later continued his life of service as a Deputy Sheriff in Houston, Texas.

Hazor was a man of quiet strength, integrity, and deep devotion to his family. He was respected for his calm spirit, steady presence, and willingness to serve others. His life reflected humility, dedication, and love.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tamerya Monique Haynes; his son, Omar Jett; his daughter, India Honora, and parents, Hazor and Fannie Lee Haynes; his brothers, Samuel Lee Haynes and Kenneth Ray Haynes; and his grandparents, Frankie and Annie McKinney.

Hazor Charles Haynes leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving children: Jonathan Charles Haynes, Larry Honora, LaShon, Tatra, Gwen, and Tajuana; his cherished grandchildren Josiah Haynes, Mia Rideaux, Luke Rideaux, and Liam Honora; his loving brothers his loving brothers Marquis  Haynes (Gina), Roy Haynes, Lonnie Haynes, and Reginald Haynes (Heather); his sisters Melva  Lane, Lynnitha  Spivey, Dr. Everlyn Haynes, Cynthia Haynes, Diane Barnett, Paula Kaye Williams (Jeffery), Angela Gayle, and Ola Sue Craft (Derek); along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., with Pastor Carl Yarbrough officiating. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
