Glenda Faye Thomas

1948-2023

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Glenda Thomas, age 74, was called from this life to be with Christ. She was a mother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more.  She was born to Essie Mae Mosley and Clifford Mosley on Monday, October 4, 1948. Although she was born in Beaumont, TX she was raised in Louisiana by aunt and uncle Louise and Torres Rideau. Louisiana will forever be home but Glenda became Houston bound for the past 36 years where she raised and grew her beautiful family.

Preceded in death were her mother (Essie Mosley); father (Clifford Mosley); brother (Ricky Lynn Love); daughters (Nina Thomas and Lisa Thomas); aunt and uncle (Louise "Nan" and Torres Rideau).

Those who will always cherish her memory are her five children Veronica Thomas, Terrilyn Thomas, Leslie 'Ricky' Thomas (Ursula), Malcolm Thomas (Lorna), and Wilton Thomas (Uwe). Her three sisters Margaret Eldridge, Sandra Gail Love, and Cynthia Love. Her grandchildren are Edrick Thomas, RaKysta Thomas, LaTicia Frank (Deon), Chandra Coleman, Aquilla Thomas, Christina Thomas, Breyannah Thomas, Chelsey Williams, Zachary Shaw, Jasmine Thomas, Jhune Abarquez, Amihan Thomas, Raven Taylor, Robin Coffey, Rhea Coffey. She also had 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at  Duncan Mortuary Chapel  5806 North Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028.

Viewing will start at 10 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am.
