Florene Carr Wyatt's Obituary
Mother Florene "Mudda" Wyatt was born on January 2, 1930 in Camilla, Texas to Ben and Johnnie Mae Carr. She was the eldest daughter of six children.
Mother Wyatt studied cooking at Prairie View University in 1951. Her hobbies were sewing, fishing, and bar-b-quing which also included her special dry seasoning.
Mother Florene met and married Osia Wyatt in 1952. To this union seven children were born. Mother Florene Wyatt joined Emmanuel Church of God In Christ in 1967 where she accepted the Lord as her savior and she was filled with the Holy Ghost. Mother Wyatt was a very big supporter to Bishop Hewett Richardson Sr., since joining the church on Bennington Street. Mother Wyatt was a faithful member of the Mother's Board until the Lord called her home.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother JL Carr; sister Bennie Mae Carr; grandson Derrick Wyatt and son-in law A.D. Earnest Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: sisters Pearlie Washington and Berdia Walker; brother Andrew Douglass Carr; seven children, Rosia Wyatt, Percy (Lola) Wyatt Sr., Alvin (Janice) Wyatt I, Robert Wyatt, Cynthia Turner, Acqunita Earnest, Roberta (Anthony) Wyatt; seventeen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Celebration for Mother Florene Wyatt will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016. Visitation will began at 9am followed by Funeral service at 10am. Both Services will be at Emmanuel Church of God In Christ, 8813 Lockwood Dr., Houston, Texas 77016 - Elder Hewett Richardson, Jr., Pastor.
Interment will take place in Coldspring Community Cemetery (300 Cemetery Rd.), Coldspring, Texas.
