Evelyn LaDette Harden-Cade was born August 30, 1950 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.  She was the fourth child born to the late Sherman and Thelma Harden.

Evelyn attended public school in the former North Forest Independent School District, where she attended A.G. Hilliard Elementary and graduated from B. C. Elmore High School.  She continued her education at Massey Business College, working throughout her career in the medical field at Methodist Hospital, Lab Corp and Quest Diagnostic.  She accepted Christ at  an early age. She was a faithful member of Norton Memorial Temple COGIC from a child, until later on in the late 90's when she left to assist her brother in starting his ministry for the Lord at Unity First Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed singing where she excelled in high school Interscholastic competitions, and also in the church choir. Evelyn loved serving the Lord and faithfully worked with the Sunshine Band and Youth department until her God called her home to rest. She will truly be missed by all that loved her.

Evelyn transitioned this life Tuesday, May 8, 2018 and is now resting in the arms of her Savior.

Loving memories of her will be forever cherished by:  husband, John Henry Cade; daughter, Kelli LaDette; 3 sons, Collin (Felicia), Clifton (Tammie), Christopher (Claudia); 11 grandchildren, Tamra, Brianna, Tianna, Tristan, Clifton Jr., Christian, Kennedy, Elena, Tamera, Nyla, and Grayson; 3 brothers, Donald Ray (Carolyn), Joel (Sylvia), Selvin (Evangeline); 5 sisters, Leesther, Sharon (Glenn), Glenda (James), Cathy (Keith), Linda Gayle, 2 special sisters Charlotte and Joyce; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church families, neighbors, and friends.

Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 am.  There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 am. Both services will be held at Norton Memorial Temple COGIC, 5008 Lucille St., Houston, Texas 77026 - Elder Charles Hill, Pastor - Rev. Donald Ray Harden pastor and founder of Unity First Christian Fellowship Church, Eulogist.

She will be laid to rest in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery (Pearland, Texas) - Duncan Mortuary Staff in Charge.
