1958-2023

On December 24, 2023, we said our tearful goodbyes to a cherished soul, Eric Von Blackshire. Born on June 13, 1958, Eric was a source of laughter, warmth, and camaraderie. Unmarried and without children, Eric found joy in the bonds of family and friendship. He now rests peacefully in eternity, reunited with his parents, Milvet Blackshire and Almarie Cook, and his siblings, Barbara Jo Hunter, Sandra Kaye Hunter, Cedrick Blackshire, and Laquita Blackshire.

Eric's memory lives on in the hearts of his surviving siblings, Richard and Joy Blackshire, Daryl Blackshire, Linda Haskett (his partner), and Beverly Blackshire, along with a host of family members and friends.

Together, we celebrate the tapestry of memories that Eric leaves behind—woven with love, laughter, and shared experiences. In his departure, we reflect on the immeasurable impact he had on our lives and the deep void his absence leaves.

As we bid farewell to Eric, we take comfort in the knowledge that he is now at peace, surrounded by the love of those who preceded him in the journey to the heavenly abode. May his soul rest in eternal serenity.

Services for Eric Blackshire will be held on December 30, 2023, at Duncan Mortuary 5806 N.Wayside Dr, Houston, Texas 77028

With a viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral.
