On November 15, 1947 a baby girl was born to Elijah Criswell, Sr., and Bettie Wyatt Criswell in Marston, Texas.  She was their first born and was named Ella Ree.

Ella Ree Criswsell departed this life on September 7, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.  She was preceded in death by her Father.

She attended B. C. Elmore High School where she graduated with the Class of 1966.  She also attended Texas Southern University and Massey Business School.

Ella was baptized at an early age at Little Union Baptist Church in Houston (Settegast), Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memories;  a loving son, Randii Criswell (Stacy); a loving mother, Bettie Criswell (Mesquite, TX); one loving sister, Vilora (Lois) Williams (Mesquite, TX);  two brothers, Elijah Criswell, Jr. (Dallas, TX) and Ray Anthony Criswell (Houston, TX);  four grandchildren Brandon, Aliya, Sierra, and Sienna;  two aunts, Earlene Scott of Houston, TX.,  and Barbara Wyatt of Chicago, ILL.;  one uncle Earl Wyatt of Livingston, Texas.  She also leaves two special friends, Janet Bell and Sharon Semiens;  a host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, cousins, and many friends.

Memorial service for Ella Ree Criswell will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 - 12pm, at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, TX., 77028.  Pastor Obie Lacy, eulogist and officiant.

Interment Private.
