Eler Gibson lived a full life before her passing at the age of 81. She was a God-fearing woman, who grew up in a small town in Mississippi. She moved to the big city to have a better life for herself. During her time here Eler touched many lives. She would open her home to anyone that was in need and never let them go hungry. She was funny, loving, yet tough, and firm. We will forever keep her in our hearts, and we know that she is smiling down on us from heaven above. We love you and until we meet again and may you rest in peace. Tell Billy (Son), James, Earl Eugene, Dan, Joe, Eartha Lee (Brothers) Mary, Louvenia, and Josephine (Sisters) and Savannah (mother), James "Doc" (father), we said hello! We know there is a party in Heaven now.

She was survived by her children Jessica Gibson-Grevenberg, LeAthony Gibson, and Bonnie Gibson. Her grandchildren, Eric Williams, Quinton Isom, Brittaney Isom, Natasha Dowell (Dion), Jasmine Broussard (Elton), and Christina Roberts. Her great-grandchildren, Kadrionna Isom, Quinton Isom, Jr., Jason and Jessica Isom, Ava Dowell, Jeremiah Broussard, and Alana Dowell. Her sisters Linda Jones Malonson (Robert) and Callie Boxley and host of nieces and nephews.
