Eddie Windell Collins, born on April 21, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Giles Collins and Rebecca Lucille Williams Collins, passed away on May 29, 2025. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Edmond Collins, along with many other close relatives and friends who will cherish his memory. Eddie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with a viewing at 10 am followed by an 11 am funeral service at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, located at 7005 Uvalde Rd., Houston, Texas 77049, officiated by Pastor Sandy White. Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
