Earnest Wilson, passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 86, in his hometown of Houston, Texas. He was born  on September 9, 1934 to loving parents, Joe Wilson and Emma Lee Brown Wilson, in Keatchie, Louisiana.  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life's challenges.  His Faith in Christ never wavered.  Despite his pain, Earnest persevered until the Lord called him home.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Earnest.  He cherished his family and friends, serving God and helping others. He loved reading and studying the bible, singing, praying and attending church.  He was affectionately known as "Mr. Goodwrench" for his love of repairing cars.  He knew no strangers.

Earnest is preceded in death by his parents, Emma Wilson-Howard and Joe Wilson, his beloved wife, Jessie Mae Wilson, brother Curtis Wilson, sister Emma Thomas, and granddaughter Tameka Wilson.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories, five children; Earnest L.Wilson, Jr. (Sharon), Reginald W. Wilson, Bobby Wilson (Tania), and Robert Earl Wilson (Stacie), all of Houston, TX., and Earnestine (La Verne), Lowe (Larry) of Warner Robins, GA; sister Onnie B. Cambric of Houston, TX., and brother,  Roy Wilson (JoAnne) of Shreveport, LA.  He also leaves 13 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 - 11am at Paradise North Cemetery, 10401 W. Montgomery Rd., Houston, Texas 77088.  Pastor Earl Edwards, Officiating.
