Darius Jarron Flournoy's Obituary
On December 14, 1994 Nicole Sanders walked to the hospital and admitted herself in preparation of the arrival of her highly anticipated first born son. In 5 hours Darius Jarron Flournoy entered into the world. He was the prettiest, chunkiest, cutest baby his mother, father, and everyone in the room had ever seen!
Darius attended school in Spring ISD and graduated from Spring High School in 2014. Darius was a member of the Spring High School football team and was a jack of all trades. Darius was well known to all who knew him and met him as a "Gentle Giant". He would give you the shirt off his back. He was loving, caring and had an infectious spirit. Anything he learned he excelled in. He had many interests. He was a DJ, plumber, cook, demolition man, handyman, technician, and big brother.
Darius requested to be baptized in January 2007. He was baptized at New Light Christian Center Church in 2007.
Darius departed his earthly life January 9, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father Damien Flournoy, his uncle Tremaine Johnson, grandmother Veloria Flournoy, and his step-father Damien Sanders.
He leaves to mourn, his mother Nicole Sanders, young brother Dexter B. Sanders, younger sister Destini N. Sanders and Quincy; grandparents, McHenry "Mac" Flournoy, Michael E."Pawpaw" Jackson , and Darlene "Nana" Johnson; great-grandparents, Beatrice "Mama B" Jordan, and Cellanie Jackson; aunts Tamika, Alicia, and Keisha; one uncle Michael "Mike". Darius also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other close relatives, teammates, and friends.
"Today we Celebrate Darius' Life and Legacy. He will be greatly missed and eternally live in our hearts!"
Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017. Visitation from 10 to 10:55am, followed by funeral service at 11am, at Crossover Bible Fellowship - 12332 Perry Rd., Houston, Texas 77070, Pastor Blake E. Wilson, Eulogist.
Interment Private.
