Darius De'Shawn Cartwright
1998-2020

On March 4, 1998 "Nooney" Darius De'Shawn Cartwright was born to Janice Singleton and Chad Cartwright.  Even at birth he was beautiful.  Darius was introduced to Christ at the early age of four, being baptized by his grandfather Pastor I.T. Singleton, and Rev. Samuel Mukes at Houston Greater Hope Baptist Church.

Darius loved the theatre and began performing in plays in elementary on up to college.  Darius had a passion for acting and modeling even though his dreams were cut short.  Now he is performing in heaven for his Big Mama, Uncle Bobby (Will), and Aunt Ruby, Cousin Kwame, and Cousin Thomas.

Darius leaves to cherish all his precious memories with his mother Janice (Antonio), father Chad (Toni); maternal grandparents, Pastor I. T. Singleton and Ruby Singleton; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Ann Cartwright;  two sisters, Ka'Lyn Jackson, and Lauren Cartwright;  three brothers, Koree, Oshae, and Ryan;  uncles, Ira (Sheila), Derrick (Shay), and Robert Singleton;  aunts, Shemica Gainous Perrino (Thomas), and Stephanie Singleton;  bonus mom Marilyn Sells (Travis);  cousins, Desi, Bria, Preston, Paige, Payton, Derrius, Devontae, Darion, Tyronda, and ReRe;  special friends, Oreana Dugarte, and Fatimah Green;  tons of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020.  Visitation starting at 10 am, followed by 11 am funeral service at Grace Cathedral Church, 9410 Mesa Rd., Houston, Texas 77028.  Pastor James Adams, Eulogist.

Burial will take place at Paradise North Cemetery, 10401 W. Montgomery Rd., Houston, Texas 77088.
