Craig Anthony Joe, Sr.
1958 - 2020

Craig Anthony Joe, Sr., passed away on October 19, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  He was born on December 5, 1958 to loving parents, Robert and Gracie Lang Joe in Houston, Texas.

Craig accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a member of Greater Pure Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Darryl Broussard.  Craig grew up and received his formal education in the Houston Independent School District (formerly North Forest ISD), where is graduated from Forest Brook High School.  He was employed with Bush and Son Diesel Mechanics for over 35 years and he later started Joe's Landscaping, which he operated for over 30+ years.  He enjoyed trail riding where he served as the Safety Boss of the Northeastern Trail Ride Association.

Craig united in holy matrimony to Janice Mayes.  They were married for over 35 years.

He was preceded in death by: his mother and father; father in-law, Jesse Mayes Sr.; 2 brother in-laws , Jesse Jr., and Isaac; and sister in-law Ander.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Janice Joe; children, LaQuell (Broderick), Jeramon (Michelle), and Craig Jr. (Shaletha); grandchildren, Dalaisa, Bracee, Layla, Amirah, Aaliyah, Avery, London, and Jordon; siblings, Rickey (Deana), Ronnie, Sharon, Michelle (Robert), Kevin (LaShundra), Joshua (Tarsha), Wallace (Shirley), Ramona, and Jeffery; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  Viewing will start at 9 am followed by funeral service starting at 11 am.  Both services will be held at Greater Pure Light Missionary Baptist Church, 12330 Vickery St., Houston, Texas 77039.  Dr. Darryl Broussard, Pastor.
