Cassandra Bernice Ward, age 57, passed away on January 26, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  She was born on October 10, 1962 to loving parents Olan and Alice Mae Hardy in Houston, Texas.  She was the oldest to eight children.

She received her formal education from M. B. Smiley High School in North Forest Independent School District.  Cassandra accepted Christ, her Lord and savior at an early age and was united with Payne Chapel where she was baptized as a young girl.  She was currently attending Sunrise Community Baptist Church where Dr. Edward Buford is Senior Pastor.  She was a stay at home mom.  She enjoyed shopping (sneaker head), and decorating.  She was the queen of  "DIY" projects, and most importantly she loved doing activities wit her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Olan Hardy, and brother Olen Hardy.

Cassandra leave to cherish loving memories to her mother Alice Hardy; 5 children Tiffany Price (Elvin), Christopher Hughes (Candra), Laura Ward (Jordan Myles), Leonard Ward, Pamela Villagomez (Robert); 3 grandchildren; Arianna Villagomez, Chase Hughes, and Chad Hughes; soulmate Kevin Daniel; siblings Debra Ingram, Katherine Hughes, Michael Hardy, Kendria Brown, Sherwin Hardy, Andradie Hardy, Phillippa, Martha, Caroline, and Gwendolyn; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 - 11:00 a.m., at Gospel Hill Baptist Church, 7904 Hirsch Rd., Houston, Texas 77016.  Rev. Floyd W. Young, Officiating.

Interment - Private
