Carl Ray Dorsey's Obituary
Carl Ray Dorsey was born on November 1, 1959 to John Henry Dorsey and Beatice Geames Dorsey in Monroe, Louisiana. He passed away on January 8, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones.
Carl accepted Christ at an early age and was united with New Morning Star Church. He enjoyed dancing, and spending time with his family. He worked for many years in the construction industry as a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister Kaye Montez Geames.
His memories live on and will be cherished by 6 sisters, Johnnie Dorsey Moses (Bastrop, LA), Selitha Dorsey Birdon (Charles), Joan Dorsey Plumber (John), Beatrice Faye Geames (Houston, TX), Willie Marie Dorsey (Monroe, LA), Irene Genes (Richmond, CA); 5 brothers, Harold Lee Dorsey, Earnest Lee Dorsey, Sebastian Will Dorsey (Latricia), Dale Geames of Houston, Texas and Bob Earl Dorsey (Delhi, LA); 1 special and adopted sister Diann Beckwith; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Services will held Saturday, January 14, 2017. Viewing from 1:30 to 2pm - funeral service immediately following. Rev. Maceo Dillard, officiating.
Interment Private.
