Bridget Michelle Spears' Obituary
On October 22, 1965, I Bridget Michelle Spears was born to Viola Nelson and Charles Cage in Houston, Texas. From the time of birth up until my demise, I had an infectious smile that could brighten any room. Throughout life my humor always kept everyone laughing.
As a young girl learning about the Lord, I accepted Christ and was baptized at Christian Love Baptist Church. Being reared in the church, as an adult I joined the First Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Carl E. Isaac Sr.
My educational accomplishments were reared in the Houston Independent School District where I completed my high school education at Phyllis Wheatley High School. Because of my love for helping others, I obtained my certification as a CNA where I was able to have the opportunity to work at Methodist Hospital as well as privately in homes.
On September 7, 1988 and again on July 7, 1988 and again on July 20, 1990 I was blessed beyond measure to become the mother of two beautiful baby girls, whom I named Jennia Brown and Myeisha Brown. On April 29, 2009 I happily married Willie Spears and our marriage continued until my demise.
Transitioning before me were my parents and two sisters, Patricia Tillis and Beverly Tolier.
My Earthly Life's Journey ended on January 11, 2016 as I transitioned into the arms of my Heavenly Father.
Leaving to cherish my memories are my loving husband Willie Spears; my two daughters Jennia and Myeisha Brown; one grandchild Aniya Duncan; my sisters, Tonya Thorne (Jerry); Monica Cage, Dorothy Trueblood; and brothers Charles Cage, Carl Cage, George Trueblood, Patrick Cage (Hazel); Fredrick Cage, Sherman Cage, and Shannon Cage. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Celebration of my Life will be Saturday, January 16, 2016. Visitation from starting at 10am followed by funeral service at 11am. Celebration will be held at Duncan Mortuary Chapel, 5806 N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028.
