Bennie Lee Vallair's Obituary
Bennie Lee Vallair was born September 25, 1925, in Huntsville, Texas to Lizzie Riles and Bay Archie. She received her education from Huntsville Independent School District. At a young age, Bennie Lee accepted Christ and became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Huntsville, Texas. As an adult, Bennie Lee moved to Houston, Texas and met her husband, Clarence Joseph Vallair of Opelouses, Louisiana. This union was blessed with two children - Jason Clarence and Phillip Lewis.
Bennie Lee was a business owner working as a cosmetologist for many years in her neighborhood. Bennie Lee was a dedicated employee while working for the Houston Police Department and Houston Independent School District. She touched many children's lives prior to retiring as a bus driver for the school district.
During leisure time, Bennie loved talking to her family and friends about God's grace and mercy. She took pride in her Community Church Family.
Our beloved Bennie Lee made her final transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Vallair, Parents, Lizzie Riles and Bay Archie; grandsons, Jason Vallair II, Jaylan Vallair, and Phillip Simmons.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Jason and Phillip Vallair; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She also leaves to mourn a host of family members and friends.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Visitation will start at 9am followed by funeral service at 10am. Celebration will be held at Community Church, 4005 Kress St., Houston, Texas 77026 - Pastor B. K. Williams, Pastor and Officiant.
Final disposition will take place in Houston National (VA) Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038, at 1:00 p.m.
